A main field of activity of Erfurt Video- und Medien-Produktion is multi-camera video recording and video production. We use cameras of the same type. Cameras of the same type ensure identical image quality for every image or camera setting. The video material is edited on high-performance computers using professional software. In the video recording of theater performances, concerts, readings, etc., several cameras are of course used. If the many areas of the stage performance are to be recorded on video from different perspectives, we use the multi-camera method to do this. Remote controlled cameras are used. From a central point, a cameraman has everything in view and can align the cameras in a variety of ways. It only takes one person to control all the cameras. Additional cameramen are not required.

We also use multiple cameras to record interviews, round tables, discussion events, etc. If the questioner should not be visible in interviews with only one person, two cameras would be sufficient. The extent to which remote-controlled cameras must be used depends on whether the event is attended by an audience. If interviews, conversations or discussion rounds are recorded without an audience, there is no need for a motor pan tilt.

The video recording of events, concerts, interviews, etc. is understandably only one side of the coin. After the video recording, the video editing inevitably follows. An important part of editing video material is adjusting and mixing the soundtracks or audio tracks. The integration of additional text and image material as well as the integration of logos and blurbs also takes place during the video editing. You can also submit existing image, text, video and audio material. If, for example, the audio tracks of a concert recording are to be mastered, we can do this or you can supply it as a file.

CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs offer particular advantages over other storage media, and not just for archiving. Memory cards, hard drives and USB sticks are not designed to last forever. Electronic components are the common cause of data loss from hard drives, USB sticks and memory cards. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs do not have these.
